EVP in Gettysburg
One of our recent stops in Gettysburg, at the end of September 2003, we drove to the park to arrive early in the morning, before all the tourists and bus traffic arrived... We went to Devil's Den...and there were a couple of cars in the parking lot but it was VERY quiet... My husband and I walked away from the rocks...to a footbridge which crosses over Plum Run... My husband went on a trail as I stood on the bridge....listening to the babbling sounds of water running.....very peaceful... I wondered if there might be any spirits nearby....??? What better way to find out than to ask.... So I began my digital recording...thinking of the civil war...of how that peaceful stream once was blood red....during the civil war....and was known as "Bloody Run". I asked if there were any soldiers who wished to speak... Of course when I asked... I heard nothing.... UNTIL... I played the recording back.... and I heard a man....whisper... "NIGHTMARE"...... One word...from the world beyond...no more...but enough.....to convey what it must have been like to be there....whether in blue or gray.... I wished that soldier may find peace .....

Dear Mary and Harry: Just arrived from Culebra two days ago.We were with Carlos and family. This is my day of leisure. Thought a lot about you and wish you were here....Last night we dinned at a Mexican restaurant and saw my coworker from the travel agency in San Juan, which I had not seen in twelve years! We screamed and planned to meet and have a party of three(another coworker). She still works for the agency, but less hours.Another friend who owns and agency is installing an AA terminal at her apartment and closing the office at a mall because of the high rent and few comissions. Charlie and I are leaving for FLL and CLE on the 17th. Already have return from Cle, but Giselle is insisting that we should stop in Va. All depends what the doctor tells him. Carlos had only a few days in the island but often travels for two days of work. Juan Carlos is spending Christmas here, just for business. We are planning to go skiing.Christmas is better with cold and evergreens...There is no ghost hunting in San Juan, even though I saw an enchanted house on the beach when I was twelve. Maybe it was my cousin...Hope you write another adventure soon. I watch Infinito Channel on direct Tv when in Culebra and it has lots of ghost stories in spanish.Enjoy your day and say hello to everyone for me.See you soon!
Love,
Carmenza
